Author Guidelines

Authors’ Guidelines

NJMES requires authors to follow APA guidelines for writing, formatting and referencing a research paper (Currently 7th Manual of APA). Some specific guidelines given below should also be observed: 

Paper Type

NJMES accepts research papers, review papers, and case studies. The general guidelines for preparing a research paper for submission to NJMES are given below:

General Guidelines
  • Write the whole manuscript in the English language
  • The manuscript should be submitted with one-inch (1″) margin. Use “A4” size
  • Keep one-line spacing in all text. Use Times New Roman, size 12
  • The first line of each paragraph should be indented except in the Abstract
  • Manuscripts should be written in one column
Length

The length of the manuscript should be in the range of 4000-6000 words

Title Page

The first page of the manuscript should be the title page and include the following:

  • The title of the manuscript should be boldfaced, centered, and in Upper Lowercase
  • Author(s)’ name/s should be boldfaced, centered, and in Upper Lowercase
  • Designation and affiliation details should be centered and in Upper Lowercase
  • The email address of the corresponding author should be provided

Headings: First, second, and third-level headings should be according to the APA guidelines

Tables: Tables should be according to the APA guidelines

Figures: Figures should be according to the APA guidelines

References: Reference should be according to APA Manual 7th Edition 2020.

Structure of Abstract: Authors must supply a structured abstract in their submission comprising of following listed items:

  • Purpose (mandatory)
  • Design/methodology/approach (mandatory)
  • Findings (mandatory)
  • Conclusions (mandatory)
  • Research limitations/implications (if applicable)
  • Practical implications (if applicable)
  • Originality/value (mandatory)

A maximum of 250 words in total.

Keywords: Keywords should be written under the Abstract. The maximum number of keywords is six, arranged in alphabetical order.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
